Julian Toha, piano: Immersion

Currently engaged in a 30-city concert tour throughout the United States, Toha is known for his passionate performances and innovative concert design. His Immersion is a through-composed performance piece which combines music with dance, poetry and the visual arts.

Of course, there is organist Rodney Cleveland, trumpet player Julian Kaplan, and oboists Eric Olson and Claudia Minch, plus a small chamber orchestra. Performing music of Handel, Mullikin, Albinoni, and Telemann. Free admission, free will offering taken.

Presidents' Day Concert : Testament of Freedom
First Coast Wind Ensemble and the Don Thompson Chorale in a joint concert featuring “The Testament of Freedom” by American composer Randall Thompson. This work, for mixed voices and wind symphony, is a setting of four passages from the writings of Thomas Jefferson. To celebrate Black History month, the Don Thompson Chorale will present two arrangements of spirituals by local composer Don McCullough. The First Coast Wind Ensemble will feature the music of popular band composer James Curnow, including his “Fantasia” for tuba and winds, which will feature soloist Hugh Rankin.

Led by Rhonda Cassano and Philip Pan (both of the Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra), our wonderful Bach Ensemble offers its yearly “Bach and Beyond” concert of lovely Baroque music. This concert will feature favorite instrumental music by Telemann, Pergolesi, Bach, and Mozart. Please join us for this wonderful free concert.
