Tuesday Serenade with violinist Dr. Min Young Cho & pianist Eun Mi Lee
The duo will perform compositions by Franz Schubert, Josef Suk and Felix Mendelssohn.
From Seoul, South Korea, Dr. Cho has performed with major orchestras in her homeland and regularly performs with chamber and symphony orchestras in Northeast Florida. Ms. Lee, also a native of South Korea, is a passionate accompanist and teacher currently pursuing her doctoral degree at Florida State University, where she is much in demand as a collaborative artist. "Stars of the Symphony" features the entire Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra, with four virtuoso principal musicians as soloists. Conducted by Michael Butterman, concert highlights include Rimsky Korsakov’s Capriccio Espagnol, Glinka's Russlan and Ludmilla Overture, Sarasate’s Gypsy Airs violin showpiece (featuring Philip Pan), a jazzy clarinet concerto by Artie Shaw (featuring Peter Wright), a concerto inspired by the trombones of Copenhagen’s Casino Theatre Orchestra (featuring Jeffrey Peterson), and an elegy for flute and orchestra composed by an original member of Deep Purple (featuring Les Roettges).
