Under the guidance of Artistic Director Michael Dell, the Singers will celebrate the material and intangible gifts that abound each December. Selections range from traditional Christmas carols and modern classics to jazzy pop tunes, and will include the Jacksonville premiere of Bob Chilcott's Gifts for the Child of Winter. Pieces celebrating Hanukkah and Kwanzaa round out the multicultural choral offering.

The Ancient City Brass Band is an ensemble of First Coast musicians spear-headed by retired Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra Principal Trumpet Cliff Newton and retired JU Professor and former J-Sym bassist William McNeiland (euphonium). The group will perform brass settings ranging from traditional Christmas carols to modern holiday songs, with UNF Professor Emeritus Dr. Bill Prince joining as soloist for several selections.

Italian Saxophone Quartet

Friday, October 3 - 7:30pmSt. Paul’s by-the-Sea Episcopal Church  
The Italian Saxophone Quartet was founded in 1982 by four close
friends determined to join together to perform ensemble music for
saxophone at the very highest artistic level. Early in their career, the
quartet won a number of important chamber music competitions
including the unanimous First Prize at the prestigious “Premio Ancona”
(under the direction of Goffredo Petrassi), and in addition, were
awarded a special prize for their performance of contemporary music.

Following a highly successful 2012 US debut tour of The National
Symphony Orchestra of Cuba, this highly energetic ensemble who
are members of the orchestra will bring to you what is the “Heart
of Havana,” its music and culture. Though classically trained, Habaneros
will not only delight you with familiar pieces such as Mozart, they will
also introduce you to Latin repertoire that will surely have you clapping
and tapping!

Regarded across America and around the world as one of today’s
finest concert organists, Todd Wilson is head of the Organ
Department at The Cleveland Institute of Music, and Director of
Music and Worship at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral in Cleveland, Ohio.
In addition, he is Curator of the E.M. Skinner pipe organ at Severance
Hall (home of The Cleveland Orchestra), and House Organist for
the newly-restored Aeolian organ at the Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens
in Akron, Ohio.
Dallas Brass

Since its founding in 1983 by Michael Levine, the Dallas Brass has
become one of America’s foremost musical ensembles.  The group
has established a unique blend of traditional brass instruments with
a full complement of drums and percussion, which creates a performing
entity of extraordinary range and musical challenges.  The Dallas Brass
repertoire includes classical masterpieces, Dixieland, swing, Broadway,
Hollywood and patriotic music.

jazz vocalists. He has won every DownBeat Critics Poll for the

St. Thomas Choir

The Saint Thomas Choir School houses, nurtures and educates
the boy choristers of the world-renowned choir of Saint Thomas
Church Fifth Avenue. Founded in 1919, and located in the
heart of New York City, Saint Thomas Choir School is the only
church-affiliated boarding school of its kind in the United States.
Sean Chen, Crystal Award Winner, 2013 Cliburn Competition

Pianist Sean Chen is being hailed as a rising star with a "million-volt
smile" and a "formidable set of fingers" (Dallas Morning News).
In 2013 Chen won the American Pianists Association's DeHaan
Classical Fellowship, one of the most lucrative and significant prizes
available to an American pianist. He also won Third Prize at the
14th Van Cliburn International Piano Competition, becoming the first
American to reach the finals since 1997Republic.
