Solo performance preview by clarinetist Peter Wright, accompanied by Ileana Fernandez

Art Walk with the Symphony continues on Wednesday, January 3 at 6:30 p.m. in the Main Library Auditorium with a solo performance by JSO Principal Clarinetist Peter Wright. Peter will give a short preview of Bozza’s Clarinet Concerto, accompanied by Ileana Fernandez, JSO principal keyboardist.

The piece is featured on the January 29 “French Fusion” concert. The innovative “Friday Fusion” series features food, music and mingling with audience and musicians.

The Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra does not appear on this program.

Jacksonville music lovers: Prepare for a blast of pure musical power. Carmina Burana - Carl Orff's racy, passionate and outrageous work of medieval proportions and worldwide appeal - will be performed by the Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra, joined by renowned soloists, the Jacksonville Symphony Chorus and Jacksonville Children's Chorus.

Art Walk with the Symphony will feature Jeffrey Peterson, JSO principal trombonist, accompanied by Ileana Fernandez, JSO principal keyboardist, previewing Søren Hyldgaard's Concerto Borealis which Peterson performs with the Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra on Friday, January 9. In addition, JSO violinist Piotr Szewczyk, winner of the Fresh Ink 2008 Florida Composers’ Competition, will present virtuoso pieces for violin, accompanied by award-winning pianist Christine Clark
