First Coast Chorale presents "A Journey of Musical Reflection"
Featuring Michael Dell, Organist
Guest Artist Tommy Shapard, Baritone (soloist in the Liszt Via Crucis)
First Coast Chorale, directed by Claire R. Scott
The music includes works of Gregorian Chant, Hildegard von Bingen, Antonio Lotti, Giovanni Battista Pergolessi, Franz Liszt, Gabriel Fauré, Craig Courtney and Katie Moran Bart. Clients of the Sulzbacher Center have contributed visual art on the theme of their journey though dark times to the light of hope. Between musical selections, each art work will be displayed and a narrator will read some reflections written by the artists about their journey as well as traditional Lenten selections. This concert will evoke the ancient practice of a spiritual journey.
A freewill offering will be requested and a portion of the proceeds will benefit the Sulzbacher Center.
