Benefit Concert for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation

The San Morco Chamber Music Society's annual concert for diabetes research. Music by Telemann, Schickele, Jacobs, and Gershwin. With Les Roettges, flute, Eric Olson, oboe; Scott Watkins, keyboard; Nick Curry, cello: and Ellen Olson, viola. Free admission. Donations to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation are welcome! Fabulous reception with refreshments afterwards!

Choral Evensong for the Feast of St. Michael and All Angels

One of our most beautiful liturgies, Evensong is a lovely evening service led by the choir. We will thank God for the day that has passed and ask for peace and protection during the night ahead through choral music of Sumsion, Smith, Vulpius, Stainer, and Goss. A nursery is available during the brief service. Stay for a potluck in Leatherbury Hall immediately afterwards.

Lunch @ the Lounge with John "Johnny the Claw" Piantadosi

A New Jersey native, John studied bass at Berklee College of Music in Boston and currently performs on guitar and vocals, as well as bass, with various local bands. Affectionately known as, “Johnny the Claw,” he also teaches bass & guitar privately, is involved with numerous recording projects, and is a member of the worship band at Ponte Vedra Presbyterian Church and former Music Director at Jacksonville Anglican Fellowship (The Ship). Enjoy his music while you eat your lunch at the Lounge @ 303 North in the Main Library on Wednesday, August 10 at noon.
