Seating is limited, therefore tickets (at no cost) guaranteeing seating will be availble through the church office. Tickets will be dated for the day of the perfomance and will give he holder advanced seating until 10 minutes before each performance. At 6:50 p.m. each evening, any unclaimed seats will be given to those who arrive without a ticket.

Following each performance there will be a time of fellowship to meet the cast. “Coffee, Cookies and Cast” will take place in the Great Hall.

    Upon completing studies at the Baghdad School of Music and Ballet and the National Conservatory of Music in Amman, Jordan, Iraqi virtuoso Abbas Abboud attended France's Conservatoire National on scholarship, and was awarded their Gold Medal by unanimous vote of the Jury des Concours. Other awards include first prizes in both the Concours International de Piano and the Foundation Natexis Banque Populaire music competition. In addition to concertizing throughout France, Germany, Switzerland and Jordan, Mr. Abboud performed under contract with the Alsumaria Iraqi Satellite TV Network from June 2007 - May 2008.

    Dr. Krzysztof Biernacki, baritone
    Baritone Krzysztof Biernacki established strong reputation as a powerful performer, versatile stage director, and talented pedagogue. Born and raised in Poland, his professional credits include opera, oratorio, concert, and recital performances in Canada, United Sates, and Europe. Dr. Biernacki holds degrees from University of Manitoba (B. Mus.), University of Western Ontario (M. Mus.), and University of British Columbia (D.M.A). He holds the position of Assistant Professor and Head of Applied Voice at the University of North Florida in Jacksonville.

    As a singer Dr. Biernacki has appeared in principal roles with Vancouver Opera, Manitoba Opera, Calgary Opera, Orchestra London Canada, Theaters of Jablonec and Usti nad Labem in Czech Republic, as well as opera ensembles of University of British Columbia and University of Western Ontario. Highlights of his operatic engagements include Eugene Onegin, Barber of Seville, Madama Butterfly, La Boheme, Cunning Little Vixen, La Fanciulla del West, Rigoletto, Carmen, Dido & Aeneas, The Crucible, Merry Widow, Die Fledermaus, Der Freischütz, Un Ballo in Maschera, Don Pasquale, Gianni Schicchi, and Merry Widow.     Christine Armington Clark, piano
    Christine Armington Clark received performance degrees from Oberlin Conservatory and the University of Illinois before studying with Leon Fleisher in the Peabody Conservatory Artist Diploma Program. Ms. Clark has performed with the Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra, and at the Aspen Music Festival as a fellow in solo piano performance and accompanying. She taught piano at Westminster Choir College in Princeton, New Jersey. Her chamber music performances include appearances at the Goethe Institute in San Francisco, the Good Shepherd Chamber Music Society, EMMA, and the St. Augustine Chamber Music Festival. Ms. Clark is a frequent performer on the concert series at Riverside Presbyterian Church, and in 1999 she gave an all-Liszt recital for the St. Cecilia Music Society. While working as a law clerk in Washington, D.C., she gave perhaps her most unusual recital, performing in the United States Supreme Court at the request of Justice Sandra Day O'Connor.

  • Rhonda Cassano has been a member of the Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra since 1979 and is currently the flute instructor at the University of North Florida.

  • Kayo Ishimaru is enjoying her 22nd season as principal harpist with the Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra. A renowned orchestral musician, Ms. Ishimaru serves as principal harpist with the Grant Park Symphony Orchestra, a position she has held since 1991.

    Works by Bach, Krouse, Hilse, and more will be performed.

    Milena has soloed with the Jacksonville Symphony, the Sphinx Chamber Orchestra and the Chamber Music Society of Good Shepherd, and has performed in recital and chamber music throughout the USA and Europe. She studied with Melissa Pierson Barrett, JSO Associate Concertmaster, Sergiu Schwartz and Michael Klotz and has been concertmaster of the Jacksonville Symphony Youth Orchestra, and a member of the Episcopal High School Eagle Quartet and on trombone its Jazz, Concert and pep bands. She is a past winner of the JSYO Concerto Competition, the UNF String Competition, and a Friday Musicale Scholarship Committee Performance Award. Currently, Milena studies with Roberto Diaz and Michael Tree at the Curtis Institute of Music and performs with Itzhak Perlman's chamber ensemble.

    James Campbell's concerts have taken him to over 25 countries, appearing as soloist with over 50 orchestras including the Montreal Symphony, the Russian Philharmonic, the London Symphony, and the Boston Pops. He has performed with Glenn Gould, Aaron Copland, over 30 different string quartets, and jazz with pianist Gene DiNovi.

    He has over 40 recordings encompassing most of the standard clarinet repertoire. His recording of the Brahms Clarinet Quintet was chosen by BBC Radio and the London Times as the best available.

    Goldstein, Professor of Music at Wake Forest University, will perform John Cage’s masterpiece for “prepared piano,” titled Sonatas and Interludes (1946-48) and his silent piece, 4’ 33” (1952), on Thursday, Feb. 26, at 7:30 PM, in the UNF Fine Arts Center's Chorus Room. The follow evening, on Friday, Feb. 27, also at 7:30 and in the same location, Goldstein will then perform the composer Morton Feldman’s composition for solo piano titled For Bunita Marcus (1985). Both concerts are free and open to the public.
