    Baker's Dozen A Cappella Concert

    The Baker’s Dozen of Yale University, one of the nation’s oldest and finest a cappella singing groups, will be giving a free concert in the Riverside Presbyterian Church sanctuary, located at 849 Park Street, Jacksonville, FL. The performance is on Tuesday, March 19th from 7:30pm – 8:30pm. Sanctuary doors open at 7:00pm. Parking is behind the church on Post Road. The concert is open to the public.     Jacksonville Public Library is hosting a free program of music for string ensemble as part of its Promenade! First Wednesday Art Walk Concerts series. Students from Jacksonville University will perform under the direction of Dr. Marguerite Richardson, with guest cellist Dr. Shannon Lockwood. The free concert will include works by Handel, Faure, Mozart, Mascagni, Mendelssohn, and local composer Piotr Szewczyk. Free parking is available in the public garage on Duval Street at the corner of Main Street.

    First Coast Wind Ensemble: Music of Robert Sheldon

    A 60-member community music organization led by conductors Artie Clifton and Don Zentz. The concert will feature the music of award-winning American composer Robert Sheldon. His 200 compositions for wind band are some of the most performed works in American music education. The concert will also feature the music of William Grant Still, James Weldon Johnson, Leonard Bernstein, Brian Balmages and Terig Tucci.
